What the waitlist collects
When you join a product waitlist, Karyos Labs collects your email address and the product you selected. We use them to process your request, maintain consent and project membership, prevent abuse, and send the confirmation message, launch news, and occasional updates about that product. The service derives opaque, secret-keyed rate-limit identifiers from the email and network address. We do not sell waitlist information or use it for third-party advertising.
Who processes it
Kit stores the email address, project-form membership, account confirmation, delivery, bounce, complaint, unsubscribe, and email history needed to operate the list. Kit’s standard reporting records message opens through a tracking pixel and records link clicks. Vercel hosts the site and processes network and browser security signals to rate limit submissions and detect automated abuse. These providers also process ordinary connection, browser, and device information under their privacy terms. The application does not log email addresses or raw IP addresses; its rate-limit identifiers are secret-keyed and one-way.
Vercel Web Analytics records anonymous, aggregated page views and dimensions such as route, referrer, country, browser, device, and operating system. It uses no analytics cookies, and its visitor hash resets each day rather than following someone across days or sites. The current Vercel plan provides a one-month reporting window, although Vercel says it may retain aggregate data longer.
Confirmation and project choice
Cadence is the only enabled product waitlist at launch. Each additional product must use a separate consent boundary and may not send product mail beyond its confirmation request until that request is confirmed. Kit maintains one underlying subscriber and account-wide status across forms, so Karyos Labs will not enable a second project in the same account unless a live test proves the project form remains unapproved and untargetable until its own confirmation. Otherwise that project must use separate account or verification isolation. Kit’s standard unsubscribe stops mail from every Karyos Labs project in the same account.
Retention
We review the list at least weekly and delete inactive, unconfirmed waitlist records from the active Kit account after 21 days, keeping them there no longer than 30 days. Kit may retain isolated backup copies under its data-processing terms. Confirmed records remain while we provide the updates requested. Unsubscribed profiles and their history remain suppressed while the Karyos Labs mailing program operates so we can honor the opt-out, unless they are deleted on a valid request or must be retained for a legal obligation. If a project is cancelled or we stop its updates, we stop its intake and mail immediately and, within 90 days, delete records for which it was the only retained Karyos Labs purpose. A shared subscriber record may retain history needed for another requested project or a suppression or legal obligation, but is not used for the cancelled project.
Your choices
Use the unsubscribe link in any Kit email, or email hello@karyoslabs.com to ask what waitlist information we hold, correct it, remove one project choice, or delete it. Kit’s standard unsubscribe link stops all Karyos Labs mail in that account; use the contact address to remove only one project. You can also ask about message tracking or site analytics. When a right-to-erasure request requires Kit’s dedicated process, we submit it through Kit as part of fulfilling your request.
